Problem

Can we build a smart cane with navigation capabilities for visually impaired people?

Method

Map building:

  • 2D case: cartographer
  • 3D case: fast-lio-slam and octomap

Localization:

  • 2D case: AMCL
  • 3D case: fast csm + fast-lio-loc

Motion planning:

  • Global: A*
  • Local: DWA
